I wanted to go to church today,
but I slept in.
I wanted to stand up and bear my testimony,
but my ears did not hear the alarm.
I wanted to publicly proclaim my gratefulness for thy plan,
but my kids take and hour and a half to get in the car.
I wanted to serve somewhere and build up thy kingdom,
but my baby has negated me getting a calling.
But I did teach my kids about prayer today,
and I did visit my sisters,
and I did serve my family,
and I am raising up a posterity unto thee.
